It was Beyoncé who said it first, but we want to make sure we put a ring on it too. Gold and brass banding add that extra flair, much like the perfect pieces of jewelry. Wrapped around just about any piece, from furniture to accessories, the gold and brass branding deserves a place On the Pedestal.
Put a Ring On it
All that glitters is, in fact, gold. We love details at CDB Interiors and gold and brass banding is the most glamorous way to add details that amplify a space. There is something pretty fab about a little gold. Drawer pulls and barstool legs and coffee table corners-- yes, please! Gold banding is that little extra your space might be craving. These details take a basic piece or even basic room and add something special, like the right jewelry.
Wrapping your furniture and appliances in gold and brass is a modern movement and a space looks instantly updated. Knobs and drawer pulls are a less expensive way to add to your space. If you aren wanting to jump in head first, think outside the normal metal uses. And nothing is more coveted than a good set of legs, so make sure they are golden! Coffee table, barstool, dining chair, and even visible couch legs take more traditional pieces and make them very present. Lamps and chandeliers don't want to be left out either-- put a ring on them!
The space CDB Interiors styled and designed in Austin was aglow with gold banding. The mirror and table legs were wrapped in gold brass banding. The gold works well with the darker drapes and really pops with the robin's egg blue chairs. This space had a art deco vibe and we love the dark wood pieces and the way the gold plays into the space as a whole, but doesn't need all the attention.
