Project of the Month - Guest Bathroom Remodel

Brace for impact! Our first reveal of a client project from start to finish! We can't wait to walk through the whole bathroom renovation. This space was stripped to the studs and we have the best time working with our client through every detail. CDB Interiors loved getting to elevate this space!

In a sprawling ranch home in Tanglewood, our clients were in need of an update. What started with a plumbing leak turned into the renovation that this space craved. The blue tile and sea shell towel hook had outlived their tenure in the space and our clients wanted to transform this guest bath from B Team to a guest's retreat. We did not change the layout of the bathroom, which is actually spacious for a guest bath in a home of this age, but the room was stripped to the studs and all new plumbing was the genesis of this beloved project. Our clients wanted traditional, but with updated finishes. French blues, grays, and whites were on our clients' brains and they wanted a space that could house hidden bins of bath toys for grandkids, as well as fluffy towels for overnight visitors.

The gorgeous tile was from Tile Works and served as the inspiration behind the rest of the room. Accented with matte finish subway tiles with a gray grout in the horizontal pattern gave the shower and wall intrigue, but didn't clash with the intricate floor tile. Large gray veins of the quartz play up the grays and blues in the tile and accent the cabinetry with trim from Mercado Millworks painted in a matte, calming shade of French blue by *****. One of the secrets to updating this room was in the golden brass fixtures and mirrors. The beautiful and ornately shaped mirrors from Wisteria paired perfectly with the Hudson Valley sconces and Delta plumbing fixtures. The cabinet hardware, in staying with the gold brass trend, is from Lighting Inc., and gives the room that extra sparkle. The shower cornice and curtain were custom made with fabric from High Fashion Home and chosen to keep the blues central to the space. The extra large tub was chosen from Ferguson Galleries, for the aforementioned grandkids or a nice soak for house guests. To keep the room anchored in elegance and not too busy, the walls are awash in Sherwin Williams Incredible White, and we think it is, appropriately, an incredible space!

CDB Interiors is more than just fabrics and finishes-- our job is relational. Like this bathroom space, our work is intimate and our goal is to take a space from something you move about in to something you love living in. This space was special because of the family's kindness and desire to be hospitable, and the space reflects that! The clients' desire is to bless their guests (and those grandkids) with a comfortable and beautiful space, and we were honored to get to be a part of this journey!
